Več znanja za več turizma 2019

On Wednesday 30th of January, the students of the 3rd and 4th years of the school for tourism Žiga Zois took part in the tourism fair NATOUR Alpe-Adria Več znanja za več turizma, which was held in Ljubljana.

We presented our tourism product called On the paths of Vinko Spominko, which is an itinerary through some of the most interesting areas of the Karst.

First of all we prepared our stand and then we had to present our product to the judges and to the visitors. While we were talking to the guests, we were divided into two groups and presented our tourism offer during the whole day. There were many schools from Slovenia, which took part in the competition, but also some from Bosnia, Serbia, Portugal and Italy. Some of us walked around with a frame and took some pictures of the people we met. They are posted on our Instagram account.

We invented the story about Vinko Spominko and created some souvenirs out of wine corks. The trip we  offered was supposed to last one day and included an itinerary from Doberdob, Gradina, Duino Castle, Repen as far a Praprot. We also presented the local typical food such as potica, pizza, Kraški pršut (a special ham from Karst) and some local wines, such as Vitovska and Teran.

We won the silver prize and we were very happy. We hope to go back next year because we had a really good time both working in groups and taking part in this interesting event.
